Evanston Blog 37

For now, I'm listening to this Singaporean pop star (whose largest market is actually Taiwan) called Stephanie Sun. She isn't new to the scene, so naturally she has more experience and can sing better than Stephy Tang, although the songs themselves I would say are about the same quality.

We got another extension for French today because our computers just aren't good enough. This computer couldn't even encode the disc.

I was reading one of my peer's blogs today. This person was...dismayed at our ignorance and inability to really understand and sympathsize with other people. Or, basically, just not being open minded enough. That comment reminded me of a report card comment I had years ago. It said that I did not chose to view things from another person's point of view. I didn't really...well...keep that in my mind, but, I think I'm a much more...well...global-thinking person now. I guess what sort of pushed me to be more aware of my surroundings was the awareness that I just didn't know, just lacked the capacity or the means to be sympathetic. However, it wasn't really because of that report card comment. Then again, though, now, when I hear somebody say that it was really hard to do something that I found relatively straightforward, I think, oh, it was hard for this person. And then I move on. I don't really emphasize, I just sympathsize (sp). And with many current events, well, I don't really have a stance on them. I just don't really feel passionate about the issue. Like, say, the Royal Navy officers selling their stories. I dont'...really care that much.
