Kelly: Hahaha I know.
I was reading a book about Asian American literature for my Japanese literature project, and the prejudice and stereotypes against Asians really surprised me. Sure, I knew that Japanese Americans and Chinese Americans always had had some prejudice against them, but to what degree I was really surprised. And it wasn't just the whites, though (although it mainly was), many Japanese and Chinese both were pretty prejudiced.
I don't think I can accurately portray the types and the degrees of discrimination against Asians, so I won't even bother trying.
Anyways, because none of my full-length blogs ever seems to stray from Utada Hikaru, I will be talking about her.
First of all, I sort of realized that I'm overplaying her songs way too much, so I'm trying to go for a Utada Hikaru's music-free week. That doesn't include news, though.
Anyways, the Recording Industry Association of Japan's prestigious (it is, because the rest are all flawed) Gold Disc Awards were presented, and not surprisingly, Flavor of Life became single of the year, and was in the top 3 or top 5 of all download categories, and took PC downloads of the year.
